Ocean Avenue Net Zero Housing

This major rehabilitation of a 1953 apartment complex initially aimed at making the building more accessible, updating the building systems and finishes, and converting a ground floor office space to three residential apartments. Intended and developed as affordable permanent supportive housing for very low income (30 percent of the county median income level), long-term Santa Monica homeless men and women, the project also targets net zero energy consumption and the elimination of all fossil fuels from the building systems.
